I purchased the 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and thank god I decided to drive it myself before letting my family member drive it. I was driving the Jeep down the freeway when suddenly it happened, the scary Death Wobble. "Death wobble is a rapid oscillation from side to side in your steering components and results in your steering wheel moving very quickly from side to side. It has earned this name because it feels like your Jeep is literally falling apart. When this occurs it becomes extremely difficult to control my Jeep and the only way to get it to stop is to slow down, sometimes it is necessary to come to a complete stop. One of the common myths about death wobble is that it doesn’t happen to stock Jeeps, only ones that have been lifted. This is not true, it is actually possible to have death wobble in ANY vehicle with a solid front axle.

Watch out for the death wobble! I put about $500 to get this fixed. Just go straight to kevinsoffroad.com and buy a steering stabilizer bar.
