Front driver-side window drive actuator broke for the second time. Window won't stay up and will not move up or down. Had to have the whole window motor replaced at a cost of $500. The window drive actuator is plastic and apparently breaks frequently. This appears to be designed to fail. This is a defect and should be recalled.
Power window manufacturers defect could cause severe problems in cold weather. Jeep gr Cherokee 2000 model/year has a plastic part that crimps and fails in the regulator for the power window assembly. Multiple websites reveal the problem is pervasive with Jeep owners.
3 of the four power door locks are not longer working and the doors can not be opened without first unlocking the door with the power lock and then manually unlocking the door with the lock slider. This is a real problem for those in the back seat who can not reach the power lock button, those making it impossible for them to exit the vehicle without help.
Driving down the road in a rain storm and the front passenger window fell into the door. I took the Jeep to the dealer and was told the window regulator failed allowing the window to fall. Regulator was replaced.

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee safety recall F25- electric radiator fan customer wants to be reimbursed for damage caused by the fan* Chrysler would only replace the fan and the motor at their cost and the consumer would have to pay for the radiator and the shroud. Just disgusted with the number of repairs I have needed to make to this vehicle. In the last six years the following repairs have been done: Brakes replaced 3 times and need to be done again door window motor cooling fan, radiator evaporator coils hood lifters-hood will not stay up drivers door clunks starter compressor leaking axle seals and now I have a cracked head on the engine. The Jeep just failed out of the blue. Glad I was close to home. This vehicle is a lemon. Buy american again--most likely not. Are our "american" vehicles being built with inferior parts" or are they programmed to be obsolete within a few years"
The brake rotors on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee keep warping. I have heard multiple complaints about this same problem from other Jeep owners. I also have a problem with my electric windows failing. Once again I have had others tell me the regulators on the windows fail often with the Jeep.
