Consumer complained about steering problems. There was a honking noise when the steering wheel was turned. Intermittently steering wheel made a popping noise while driving, especially when turning, and the steering wheel failed to go in the locked position when the vehicle was turned off. Dealership didn't know what caused these problem, but there was a technical service bulletin on each of them. Also, front drive axle made a wining noise while driving.
The rear windshield wipers were defective. The rotors were replaced, there was a gap in the back door which caused the door locks not to work, the door had to be repainted and the steering wheel cover peeled.
The consumer is experienced a recurring problem with the brakes. The problems are as followed: Shimmying, squeaking/squealing in the brake system, shimmy/shake in the steering wheel, and warped rotors. The vehicle is was still under warranty, but the consumer was told that there was no way possible that this problem could be covered by warranty, and learned from the dealer that they are aware of the problem, which is a caliper problem. (which indicates that the problem will occur again) the rotors were refaced and resurfaced, and the pads were resurfaced. Refer to ODI#768226
Transfer case bad on delivery. Snap ring not installed unit replaced. Brake rotors warp every 20K miles. Replaced with aftermarket at 40K.. steering column clunk and feels loose. Dealer replaced with new, same problem exists. Excessive clunking and looseness in driveline. Loud clunk park to reverse dealer says normal but lots of complaints.
Transmission has a constant problem w/reverse, loud noise and rough engagement Jeep stated it's normal to factory/specs. Steering column has knocking noise and is loose/play. Has been replaced once. Same problem exists with steering column & Jeep refuses to fix. Jeep says it's normal to factory/specs this time. Fuel pump has been replaced due to vehicle not starting due to pressure problem in fuel pump. Vehicle sometimes does not start after fuel pump replaced. Jeep states it's normal to factory/specs and refuses to fix.

Steering wheel/column is making a clicking noise when wheel is turned, and steering wheel feels as if it is loose. Also, when wheel is turned a beeping noise is emitted on a random occurrence. Dealership has examined vehicle, and changed gear box three (3) times. However, problem has not been corrected. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
