On 2/15/02 my wife michelle with son joseph, (8yrs old) seated in the rear passenger side of a 2000 Jeep, struck the passenger side of a 1999 4dr Oldsmobile operated by frances clark who had failed to stop at a stop sign. Michelle hit the side of the clark car "head-on" while travelling 52 mph on a dry night at 8pm. The air bags failed to deploy on our 2000 Jeep. Chrysler has inspected the vehicle and stated that there is "...no manufacture's responsibility". they refuse to do anything further!
Consumer rearended a vehicle while driving 20 mph and seatbelt did not restrain her, and airbags did not deploy. Consumer hit face on steering wheel, and suffered breaks in sternum. Damage to vehicle was $ $1000, other vehicle was $ $4000.
Consumer was traveling about 50mph on highway and another vehicle suddenly stopped. In order for to avoid the other vehicle, she went into guardrail. When consumer applied anti-lock brakes vehicle skidded and locked up. Interior rear seat wasn't proberly bolted, seat came out from floor. It was secued. Front airbags didn't deploy. Dealership was aware of problem.
Consumer was traveling about 20 mph on a two lane highway and another vehicle crossed over into consumer's lane and hit her head-on. Upon impact, dual airbags didn't deploy. Vehicle had to be towed, and consumer was transportated to hospital.
Consumer was going 25-30 mph had an accident. Upon impact, neither driver or passenger side air bag did not deploy. Contacted dealer, dealer unable to determine cause.

Vehicle involved in a rear collision of 45 mph impact while waiting to make a left turn. Upon impact, both air bags failed to deploy. Also, driver's seatback rest collapsed, causing driver to lose control and collide into oncoming traffic. Vehicle was totaled due to accident. Dealer notified.
