Fuel gauge is no longer reading correctly, it goes from empty to full, etc. There was a recall on fuel sending unit, but this vehicle was not affected.
Vehicle has a problem with fuel sending unit. This has caused vehicle to run out of gas due to fuel lever not reading correctly. Their is recall 97V194000 for this problem, but this vehicle was not covered.
Gas gauge did not show correct amount of gas that was in vehicle. Consumer indicated there was recall 97V194002 for sending unit. But this vehicle was not included recall due to VIN.
Fuel gauge is not giving an accurate amount of fuel in the tank. Dealership is aware of the problem. The owner states that the malfunctioning fuel sender should have been part of recall 755 because it is failing again after being replaced.
97 V 194 002/fuel level sending unit: Vehicle dispaying wrong amount of fuel in vehicle fuel tank. Dealer/mfr's notified and informed that vehicle VIN# was not cover under a mfr's recalls. Please provide further details:
Fuel level sending unit misreads the amount of fuel in vehicle. A recall has been issued on vehicle ; however, this vehicle was not included due to VIN.
Gasoline meter is not operable. Consumer filled up half of tank with gasoline, and the meter showed a half of tank. But, vehicle stalled because there was no gasoline inside of vehicle. Consumer took vehicle to dealership, and mechanic told her that it was the fuel sending unit wasn't sending gasoline properly.
