Vehicle was going 65mph on expressway and cruise control came on involuntarily. Consumer tried to stop vehicle by applying brakes manually to disengage cruise control switch, and turn on/off switch to decrease or increase cruise control speed, however engine continued to accelerate. Consumer stopped vehicle by shifting to park. Brakes were used up completely trying to stop vehicle, also emergency brake cord was severed due to brakes burning out. Dagnosis of the problem was that cruise control cable got caught on outer plastic line cover of another wire. Dealer notified. The dealer rplaced a cracked serpentine belt.
Something in front of vehicle is causing noise, dealer stated possibly a differential problem, but consumer could drive an additional 6000 miles before needing repairs, however he also stated that it was possible for a defective bearing to freeze while driving. Serpentine belt replaced. Front brakes replaced. Air conditioner does not cool properly, dealer found no leaks.
While driving vehicle at night, the entire electrical wiring system went out, causing visibility problems. Could not read dashboard panel due to electrical failure. Also, the speedometer does not work. Not showing correct speed/ belts are out of alignment.
