My Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado, V-8, Quadradrive has been fairly reliable. It is equipped with a graphical message center that informs the driver of any problems and service reminders. Recently, the damn thing has been displaying and beeping "Service 4WD switch." Dealer first "adjusted a linkage," and next replaced the switch (cost only $35). However, the false alarm persists and is really annoying and, I believe, makes the vehicle impossible to sell to a third party. On third trip to the Dealer, the suggested solution was to replace the message center at a cost of $1000. No thanks.
