Purchased my 2022 Jeep Gladiator Sport (3.6l with a 6-speed manual transmission) from Jim Click Jeep in Tucson, Arizona. A month later I received a Recall Notice for the clutch assembly. I checked in with the dealer numerous times to see if they had received parts yet, it took over a 16-months for Jeep to "figure out" a fix for the OEM Clutch Assembly. I got the notice to call the dealership and set up a date for the install the new parts. Dropped off my truck in Tucson for them install my "recall" Clutch Assembly Replacement.
Got it back and attempted to drive it. What a joke! the next day, took it right back to them and had one of the seasoned mechanics work on it. Got it back again a couple of days later, it was better but not as good as the way it was when I took it in. I was told to drive it for a while and see if it gets better. It's been over a week now and there is still absolutely NO feel in the clutch pedal, just mush all the way down, you have to guess where the engagement point is, it's now a little sticky going into 1st gear.
The Service lead mechanic went with me for a test ride, he was not impressed and mentioned that it didn't feel right. The service manager gave me the line "it performs as designed???" It now either lurches when the clutch is let out or you ride the pedal until it is engaged. The quality of the shifting is deteriorating, it used to be buttery smooth, now it's notchy. This is not safe nor is it acceptable. I purchased this Gladiator with the intention of it being my last vehicle I would ever own. Love my Jeep, but a lot less than I did before the clutch swap out, in fact, unless this can be fixed, I'm contemplating about getting rid of it!!!
