After the 5th windshield cracked while I was sitting in the driveway, I took the truck to an authorized Chrysler Jeep dealership and they recommended I go to their preferred repair shop. I went to the repair shop and they gave me an estimate to have the problem fixed, as they believe the issue is in the frame of the windshield, that it must have some type bend or flaw, that the newly replaced windshields continue to crack with NO VISIBLE Cracks or impacts showing. The repair shop diagnosed the problem to be the windshield frame has flaws.
To fix the problem, of the windshields spontaneously cracking from the bottom of the frame up, the frame has to be replaced and then painted to color match the rest of the truck. I am still sitting with cracked windshield, not fixed. I let corporate Chrysler know the issue and they gave me a case number and a case manager. I was called a month later by the case manager stating that I needed to take the truck to an authorized dealer and get a diagnosis and I told her I did that already and I have a paper copy of what the repair shop states needs to be fixed. She proceeded to tell me that the dealership I took it to was not an authorized dealership, so I told her to give me an address of an authorized dealership near me and she GAVE ME THE EXACT SAME ADDRESS OF THE AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP THAT I TOOK THE TRUCK TO. THEN SHE TELLS ME, "OH OK, THEN YOU NEED TO GET THEM TO GIVE A DIAGNOSIS IF THEY HAVE A REPAIR SHOP ONSITE OR TAKE IT TO THEIR PREFERRED SHOP", AGAIN I TOLD HER FOR THE 2ND TIME, I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THEIR PREFERRED REPAIR SHOP AND I HAVE THE ESTIMATE OF WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE AND THE COST. THEN SHE TELLS ME SHE NEEDS TO UPDATE THE INFORMATION AND THAT SHE WILL CONTACT ME AGAIN, OF WHICH SHE NEVER DID.
I called the authorized dealership and the manager called the corporate office to try to help with expediting this process, so I could get my truck fixed and now it is May 25 2023 4 months later and I have documented calling back and talking to other people, who tell me each time, that the case manager is not available and for me to call back another day. I do this 3 more times and today the a guy named Vajour, tells me the case manager closed my case without gathering any information form the repair shop or me, as I have documentation and several pictures of my windshield cracked from the bottom middle of the frame, with NO VISIBLE issues on the windshield other than the crack from the bottom of the frame.
I asked Vajour to put me through to a manager and he puts me on hold and I wait for 5 minutes for him to get back on the phone to tell me there are no managers available for me to talk to, but that I will receive a call back from a manager within 24 hours....we will see if I get a call, or if the idiots call my husband's cell phone again, instead of my phone, when I am the driver of the vehicle and it has been me calling and speaking to all of these idiots with Chrysler!!!
