The contact-??s son owns a 2018 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while her son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact-??s son was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the auxiliary battery had drained the core battery. The contact was informed that the auxiliary and core battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unavailable. The VIN was unavailable.

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that she was unable to turn off the vehicle after shifting to park. The contact stated that the -??Shift to Park-?? warning light was illuminated. The contact called a tow truck company, and the driver disconnected both batteries to turn the vehicle off. The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer, where the vehicle was diagnosed with needing both batteries to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but experienced the failure a second time. The video of the second occurrence show no "low battery" warning so is the low battery alert malfunctioning, Bob Baker Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat (5555 Car Country Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92008: (760) 268-9032) where the vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the trunk latch electrical system was draining the batteries. The manufacture had been contacted but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was about 44,000.

The contact disconnected the battery and then reconnected the battery and the vehicle started operating normally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the second battery was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was contacted and a case was filed. The approximate failure mileage was 57,000.

A secondary message stated automatic start could not be detected. The contact pulled over and restarted the vehicle however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to three rivers Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (2633 w Liberty ave, pittsburgh, pa 15216), to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 26,800.
