I have a leased, 2017 Jeep Compass Latitude that I’ve had for 30 months. My lease is done in 9 months, and I found out yesterday that my tires were bald and needed replacing! This was extremely disappointing to hear, especially since I’ve been through the lease-end before with Jeep and knew they had to have the same wheels on it when turning it in. So, I was forced to buy 4 new tires for $578 in order for my lease company to accept my Jeep in the upcoming lease-end process.
I’m tired of buying stripped-down models with crappy tires that don’t last long - 32,000 miles and that was it for my commuter vehicle! I only drive it 50 miles per day for 180 days (teacher, summers off so we drive my wife’s vehicle). Those tires should have lasted longer than 32,000 miles!!! I’d love for Jeep to contact me and tell me when they’re going to reimburse me for the new tires I was forced to get at 30 months, and especially how they’re going to restore my faith in them. In the meantime, I have 9 months to think about which car company I’ll lease from next who won’t screw me over with cheap tires...
