Jeep was shutting down while driving, and I couldn't figure it out. Then the "oil pressure low" light came on. I still had another 2000 miles before my next oil change. Called the shop and they looked at it. Oil NOT leaking anywhere and when they further investigated, they found this ongoing problem and lawsuit with Jeep. They're calling it normal consumption! This not normal! This is not the consumer's problem to fix it's on Jeep!
I should not be having to put a quart of oil in my Jeep every 1000 miles in between oil changes!
For the last 4 months, the vehicle has a hard time turning over to start the engine. When we brought it to the local dealer, they replaced the crankshaft position sensor and the battery which cost us 900$ CAD. 2 days later, the Jeep started the same issue.
My 2 children and myself (pregnant) were in the vehicle on a very busy highway when it shut off for the first time with no warning signs. The brakes, steering, lights, and everything in the vehicle seized and we could not get onto the side of the highway to get away from the passing vehicles. If the highway had been at a higher speed, we would most likely not be here today.
