The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the throttle body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000. The VIN was unavailable.
