On the outside bottom edge of each front seat there is a hard plastic cover through which the seatbelt and seat adjustment knob are threaded for us. The plastic cover is aesthetic and just makes this area look nice. There is one single clip that holds this entire plastic cover in place. Pressure is applied to it each time you get into and out of the seat. After only eight months of driving the vehicle, last Friday the single plastic clip broke and now the plastic cover is hanging free. The only thing keeping it in place is the seatbelt that is threaded through it. Very very annoying. I have never owned a vehicle that something as simple as this broke so soon after purchasing the vehicle.

Update from Sep 17, 2015: Made an appointment at Jeep dealer - can't be seen until next month. They will keep my Jeep an entire day to assess whether or not this issue is a "defect" or "wear and tear". No idea how their tech is supposed to test this to determine if it's defective or wear and tear - but you can bet it's going to be wear and tear so they don't have to cover it. I'm not going to pay for it to be replaced because it if already broke within seven months of ownership, I'm not going to keep paying for a manufacturer defect.
