This is my second complaint. I have mentioned numerous times to sales, Mechanic etc., and all I get is that this is normal. My first complaint I mentioned that it doesn't matter if cold, hot outside when I back up my brakes are loud and grind. This is not normal. So far I complained of ticking noise like out of oil, I was told normal but after the 2 recall notices I complained to where they took me serious and fixed the problem. I haven't so far had any further problems with that and the recalls were fixed..But they will not take me serious about my brakes. Its not normal to be so loud and grinding I'm not a mechanic and I no its not Normal. like one other person mentioned they were willing to replace her brakes but wouldn't be covered under warranty. I have always wanted another jeep. I had a Grand Cherokee and loved it. I realize that the Compass cost less but I do expect some quality that has always been with past jeeps. I just happened to be fortunate enough to pay cash. Now I'm so upset that they won't admit to yet another problem Chrysler is having. I will just take it in and leave it (which they make you pay for rental car until they fix) No matter how long they keep the car as I learned in the past. A person shouldn't have to be told there is no problem when you know darn well there is one. I'm going on 2nd year of owning only have 7,900 miles and I want fixed before warranty is expired. is that to much to ask. my dream suv turned in to a pain in the rear..

Sent a certified letter to Chrysler and received a call from the Area Mgr. (Liz) she said I would need to take the vehicle back to City Auto Plaza so she could come down and do a test drive and see what could be done. I explained to her that is has been a big pain and very time consuming and something needed to get done about it. Explained to her that I had read about Lemon Laws and that I felt my car was a lemon and she told me I didn't know what I was talking about that I cant say my cars a lemon when I haven't done her proposal yet so I took my car down on Aug 23,2013 to be looked at again. at the time I took it in I was not only having brake problems but now my check engine light had come on for a second time. So they would look into that as well. We got phone calls from Liz saying that there was no defect on my Jeep that its a normal brake noise when going into reverse but she would be willing to have the service dept put aftermarket brakes on to see if it corrected the problem. The only problem with that is we were told by the service dept and Jeep Warranty dept that it would void out my warranty. So I am having to look into that now. Now if it was a normal noise would they really want to have work performed. This problem has been so stressful and time consuming for myself and my husband very unfair treatment that we have gotten from not only Chrysler but the dealership as well. I don't believe when buying a NEW vehicle that you should be having these types of problems. I have sent emails, asked for supervisor names and numbers and have gotten no where. I am at a loss at this point not sure what to do.

I have a 2012 Compass Jeep. From beginning brakes squeal when backing up & when cold or hot makes no difference. I have been told normal by dealer & I've gotten so irritated as I know its not normal. At my age I have bought new vehicles. I previously owned a 2004 Grand Cherokee and never had issues nor have I with any other new cars. I have only 7,000 miles and recently made an appointment with mechanic. I want in writing that its normal before warranty is up.

Ok so Jeep goes back into shop after they claim there is nothing wrong and nothing they can do to fix, they keep Jeep replace back rotors and brakes and call me to come get. Well guess what Jeep now has 7000 and sounds like the wheels are going to fall off when I back up this will be the third time under 10000 miles brakes will need to be worked on. Something is just not seeming right.
