Noticed the paint rubbing off on bumper in January 12, 2012 and 3000 miles. Dealership repainted under warranty, however did not know what caused it. A few months later I noticed the paint rubbing off again, contacted the dealership they asked me to get Jeep involved. On September 15, 2012 I was loading something into the rear of the car with the hatch opened and just as I leaned in to set my items down, the rear hatch fell on my back. This hatch is really heavy and just glad it was not my children it would of broke their backs. Jeep has gotten involved asked the dealership to send photos, however can not tell the struts are bad from a photo, but keep asking the dealership for more information. The dealership ordered and received the parts on September 21st however Jeep will not allow them to replace them until they investigate this further. In the mean time I am unable to lift the hatch without help as I can not lift it myself, hold it with one arm and put items in the back. This is very dangerous and I could of been hurt really bad.
