So many problems, so little cash to fix them all. I hope everyone considering buying a Jeep Compass finds this website and re-thinks their purchase, I wish I had.
Driving along and all of a sudden I had no turn signal lights on the dash, front or back of the car on the outside. Also discovered that I had no headlights when I tried to turn them on when it got dark, I only had daytime running lights. Also no fog lights.
Thought it was a fuse controlling the lights or the relay but upon Googling the symptoms it seemed more likely to be the multi function switch on the steering column and most people reported that the wiper switch on the other side of the steering column went at the same time. I hadn't tried the wiper switch but made the trek out to the car to double check, sure enough...no wipers (see my next complaint for this separate issue).
Called the parts department at my dealership to get the cost since I generally knew what was wrong, $125 + labour to install but they so kindly gave me the part number. I called around to some wreckers and found the right part for $65, brilliant! Picked it up same day, watched a YouTube video on how to replace the part myself, easy, took 15 minutes and saved myself a boat-load of cash.
