The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that whenever it rained water would leak through the sun roof. The vehicle was in the process of being taken to a dealer to inspect the failure. The manufacturer was notified and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 37,000....updated 08-16-12 the consumer stated he went online and found how to fix the design defect within the sunroof. Updated 08/21/12
The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that the sun roof was leaking. There was water damage to the seat belts as well as the electronics in the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis. The dealer repaired the leak however, did not list the exact repairs. A few months later, the leak recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they advised that they were unable to locate a leak and advised the contact to call the manufacturer. The vehicle was not further repaired. The failure mileage was 51,000 and the current mileage was 58,000.
