The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Commander. While driving approximately 60 mph, the passenger side air bags deployed without warning or impact. The air bag indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where pictures were taken; however, it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the contact would have to wait for a safety investigator. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the investigation. The failure mileage was approximately 173,000. Updated 09/20/16 also, the windows would no longer roll down and the lock no longer worked to open the hatch. The consumer stated there was no word as to when a safety investigator was coming to inspect the vehicle. Updated 10/05/16.
