CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2019 Cherokee is racking up engine complaints for suddenly shutting down while driving. But the problem could possibly be related to the increasingly defective 9-speed transmission which suffers from hard shifts, lurching problems, and a wiring harness defect that can cause sudden shutdowns or an unexpected shift into neutral.
After doing a day of running around for my second job I go to leave my friends house and my drivers side seatbelt won’t buckle/clip in. After multiple attempts and pushing extremely hard I get it to click in. I noticed that even when it’s unbuckled the alert of the dash doesn’t come up alerting me the seatbelt is unbuckled. I checks the belt clip to see if there was anything like a foreign object in it and there isn’t. All other belts clip right in with ease, the drivers side belt though doesn’t want to clip in unless pushed / jammed very hard. Attached is a video demonstrating this.
Update from Aug 22, 2018: As of 08/22/18 my seatbelt has been repaired under the bumper to bumper warranty. The issue was a defective buckle.
