The transmission will not shift consistently into 8th gear at interstate speeds. Have never seen 9th. It will shift into 8th but needs to be babied to get there. Then if you have to slow/speed up it will not go back. As a result mileage suffers. Pulling about 400 more rpm at 79mph when it stays in 7th. Been working with service manager at purchasing dealer to no avail. Jeep tech says its doing what it's supposed to be doing. May be the case, but its not right. Need some new software techs to figure it out. Totally feel its a software issue. Hard to believe still having issues with a transmission that is 5 years old. Time to hire some better troubleshooting engineers. I'd be embarrassed!! Owed a 2010 Charger R/T, 2014 Ram R/T and 2015 Challenger R/T Shaker with ZERO issues, expected the same with the Jeep.
