My Jeep Cherokee(vin [XXX] ) was being flat towed behind a class a motorhome. On 4 separate occasions the front wheels of the jeep started bucking right to left and back to opposite side causing the whole motorhome to violently vibrate. 1) The first time it happened was at about 15 mph while turning left onto a connecting road. It started vibrating so I pulled to side of street and stopped. After getting out and discovering nothing of note I started off and the wobble was gone. 2) Second time was while driving at around 50 mph. There was a bump and grade change in the road and the wobble started. Much more violent than the first. I had to stop while in the traffic lane, with no place to pull over. This time I could see the wobble in the rear camera of the motorhome. Jeep was violently bucking back and forth as before but much stronger. 3) Slower speed at about 20 mph it happended again. Had to come to a stop before it corrected. 4) 40 mph and a very subtle road surface change caused wobble. I disconnected Jeep and drove it by itself to home. Never had an incident other than while being towed. This has happened 4 times in the past 5 trips of around 300 miles each. Since then I have discovered articles about "Jeep Death Wobbles" and have not found any evidence where Jeep has even acknowledged there is an issue. Until I see user manual that mentions a "Mopar Wiring Kit" that needs to be installed. I do not know if this is considered a recall or if is an after thought mentioned in the manual. At any rate the Jeep was sold as a flat towable vehicle and Jeep should stand behind it and install the Mopar fix as a safety fix at no charge to customers who bought it as a flat tow vehicle. I brought car in for oil change and was told the R front axle was leaking. Brought it to dealer for repair and told Both that both front and rear axles needed to be replaced along with PTU. Was informed that the that was ordered was cancelled b/c 800 people across the country were looking for the same part. There were no safety warnings. I was told very unsafe to drive b/c front axle came out of PTU.

The vehicle began making a crunching/grinding sound, and lost some traction/control. It then only would go very slowly even though I was pressing the accelerator, and then the RPM meter was revving up and down even after I took my foot completely off the pedal. After turning it off on the side of the road for about 15 minutes, we were able to drive it home with no further issues. The following week when I went to have it inspected (the first time I drove it since), it made it less than 10 miles before it did the same thing and was unable to be moved this time. We towed it in to have it inspected at a jeep dealership and they confirmed it is a PTU/Transmission issue. I have a video of the second incident if needed.

While flat towing my Jeep behind my motor home from antioch, to crescent city ca on July 1, 2020, I was thirty five miles from antioch, when my Jeep started swaying severely left and right and bouncing.I thought that I had two blowouts on the right rear of the motor home. I had to slow down to two miles per hour until I could pull off the hiway. I had to dis-connect my Jeep from the motor home and put it in drive mode. When I did this my light on the dash said check engine light. I called the Jeep dealership in petaluma and they told me to bring it in T they said the brain in the computer went dead and they had to re program it. I then had my wife drive the Jeep and follow me behind the motor home 315 miles to crescent city ca. It took a couple of days and I drove 21 miles into brookings or I told the Jeep dealer about the sever swaying and bouncing and the service tech gave me a copy of a star online publiation case #S1823000010. The release date of 03-09-2018. Vehicle issue explains about my Jeep. It explains that I need a kl-flat tow kit P/N68321424aa tsb08-022-16. This kit allows the electric power steering to active and separate from other systems during flat tow. This kit costs $132 plus labor of $390. I bought my Jeep in February 2017. The star online publication is dated one year and one month after I bought my Jeep. There never was a recall on my Jeep and I am wondering why. I have been dealing with the service manager and they have refused to pay to install the kit. I plan on leaving 10-01-2020 my wife will have to drive the Jeep 375 miles behind my motor home. I will be dealing with them when I get home. Please let me know after you investigate this if it should be a recall item my vehicle is a 2017 Jeep Cherokee latitude with active drive

Refering to complaint # 11351451. The entire complaint did not transmit. The service tech gave me a copy of the star online publication case # S1823000010 the release date 03-09-2018. The publications states that I need a kl flat tow kit P/N68321424aa this kit allows the electric power steering to active and separate from the other systems during flat tow. I bought my Jeep in February 2017. The star online publications is dated one year and one month after I bought my Jeep. There was never a recall on my Jeep and I am wondering why " how many complaints were filed with Jeep about this incident? this is an accident waiting to happen. If I had been on a bridge with heavy truck traffic behind me how would I be able to pull over and dis-connect the Jeep and drive off the bridge safely? if I had been towing my Jeep by myself how would I accomplish what need to be done" I have been dealing with the service manager at antioch Jeep dealership and they refused to pay for the kit and the labor to install which is over $590. I am in crescent city until September 30. I will have my wife drive the Jeep behind the motor home 375 miles home please let me know after you investigate if this should be a re call by the Jeep dealership. My Jeep is a 2017 Jeep Cherokee latidude with active drive

Defective drivers side front strut began knocking on unpaved roads at 14,000 miles on 1 year old Jeep Cherokee. Dealer verified defective strut and replaced under warranty. Now at 31,000 miles passenger side front strut has severe knocking even on small bumps in road and vehicle front end shudders upon braking. Apparently, this other side strut is also defective. Working with Jeep to verify defective strut and have replaced. Upon research, have seen owner comments about manufacturing defect in front struts of several Jeep vehicles.

The vehicle has had multiple problems since my purchase date issues with the sunroof which has continued to persist, as well as a strut, hub, strut assembly, electronic parking brake and also now that I have taken it in there are more problems arising and now I have a check engine light on service all brake system lights on and light and traction control light on and also a 4WD system unavailable light on after taking it in to get fixed and the dealership fixes one problem and more keep arising! the vehicle was parked and then when I turned it back in that's when the parking brake would not disengage and then the sunroof and popping sounds were happening while driving. The transmission issue is when I am driving it is shifting way to often and shifting very wonky. Then also when shift the transmission into gear it doesn't engage and then when it does it litterally could through you forward in your seat when it finally engages.
