Air bag service light is on. Also, the seatbelt light is on stating driver does not have seatbelt even when plugged in. Vehicle was on the highway when this occurred.
I was in a car wreck on Nov 21st and hit my front end at 65 mph. My seat belt did not tighten and my airbags did not deploy. The car I hit however had their front airbag deploy and I hit their rear end. The contact owns a 2016 Jeep Cherokee. While stopped at a traffic light, the vehicle rolled forward and struck another vehicle. The seat belt failed to lock up as designed. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that they would not research the failure. The failure mileage was 25,083.
