lack of provision for front tow hooks
When I purchased this Cherokee Sport, I knew that it did not have tow hooks, either end. I made the assumption that being a Jeep, that there was provision for adding them, that they were just not included on this lower level model. Now I learn that it could cost several thousand dollars to add them, as the TrailHawk front hooks are not a simple bolt on, apparently requiring a new bumper, fairing, and other mounting hardware. How can Jeep, of all the auto manufacturers, produce a vehicle that does not have a provision to add some way to attach a tow cable / rope to the front end? I don't even see how a tow truck can get ahold of the front of this vehicle, without doing considerable damage. So, now I am afraid to take this new 4WHD vehicle up into the snow, or anywhere remote where there is any possibility that I may have to do a self rescue.
We happened to speak to the sales gal today, and I voiced my irritation at the situation. Her reply was: "You didn't ask.......". My response is: "This is a Jeep, I should not have to ask!"
