At about 28000 miles my 2015 Jeep Trailhawk was making a noise from the front end. I brought the vehicle to my dealer for repair and they reported that a front wheel bearing was bad along with a rear seal. The vehicle was repaired under warranty. But wait now the vehicle is out of warranty by 4 months and has only 33000 miles on it I'm 1100 miles from home and both front wheel bearings have to be replaced.
The dealer here said it is normal wear and tear, I'm calling bullshit! These bearings are supposed to last 80 to 100k miles. After spending about an hour on the phone with FCA I was told that the vehicle is out of warranty and I would be stuck paying the $800+ for the repair. I wasn't happy with that outcome so they said they would escalate it and call me with a resolution. I'm guessing they just wanted to get me off the phone. I'm now concerned that after this repair I can look forward to spending 800 a year on a defective product.
I've always had Jeeps and have never had this problem. I've never abused or taken this vehicle off road and can't understand why they just won't own up to the problem. I guess if enough owners report this they will. So, if your reading this and have had the same problem please fill out a report on this forum. If they ever call me back I'll update this report.
