The headlights are a real safety concern! Can’t see the road at night or in rain, must use fog lights all the time! This issue need to have a recall! Very, very, very unsafe! Dealer has no fix! No bright bulbs! No new kit! How many people need to die before there is a recall!
Headlights are so dim you can barely see and at night in the rain, it's almost impossible. Barely a difference between high and low beams. The headlights make this car a complete danger to drive at night! Wish Jeep would take responsibility when they put out a crappy product!
Purchased a jeep cherokee laredo 2015 for our teenage daughter. The headlights are so dim, they are dangerous. Cannot see well on a clear night, rain is almost impossible. We ordered an aftermarket light kit to improve them, but they do not have a kit that will work at this time. Dealer could not connect it.
This is an extremely dangerous problem, can barely see a few feet in front of car and they aim downward.So disappointed in this vehicle, we have 2 other jeeps, and I'll probably not buy another. Dealer pretty much says, Not, their problem. This needs to be recalled immediately.
It is too bad that they put out such a poor product, and we purchased this vehicle in good faith that it would be a safe choice for our teenage daughter. Feel ripped off by dealer and manufacturer. Steer clear of this car!!
We were driving in a state park in Indiana on very curvy, hilly roads with no ambient light. We could not see far enough into the distance and the peripheral vision was also very bad. We tried the brights and all that did was light up the trees. I called the dealer but they acted like I was crazy. My brother sent me a link for better headlights XenonHIDs.com. Spent about $150 for the headlights and $40 to have them installed. They also sell them for the fog lights.
Great (VFR) daytime car this jeep Cherokee Latitude, but at night it needs help and if it's raining you need radar. Went to dinner last night in a lite rain, coming home in the dark went off the road twice. Can't see even with the bright's on.
Chrysler you have a problem that will kill somebody one day. Face up to it. Don't be like Ford and say "not our problem, tough sh*&."

I called the Dealer to see if I could have the headlights replaced. They suggested that I replace the bulbs with HID, (high intensity discharge) bulbs, so they suggest that I take the car to a place that does that, they don't do that. I went to a store called (HID KIT PROS) in my town. I got an estimate cost to replace (only) the low beam lamps which also needs a new light harnessing kit. The estimate for material and labor was $510.05 tax inc. I didn't get it done. I am now shopping for a better price. Imagine, buying a new car for $36,000 and the headlights are so dim that you can't see the road well enough to feel confidant driving, and when it rains I can't see the road at all, I have to pull over and wait till there is no traffic so I can continue on my way.
This must be happening with all brands of Autos since there are now special stores HID KIT PROS to change out your headlights on your auto. I won't buy another Jeep product for sure. FrankC.
My lights have had a dust ring on the inside of the lens and after time this causes a brownish ring. Jeep UK are completely useless and have replaced the lights and the same is happening. They are claiming a supplier fault but still have not solved my problem please check your Cherokee.
I am so disappointed with the lights on my brand new car. I feel they are very unsafe and I am afraid to drive it at night. My husband and I drive to Florida for the winter each year and now I am afraid to take my brand new car. I also have a Pontiac Torrent and the lights on that vehicle are outstanding. The lights on my Jeep Cherokee Sport are manual for heavens sake. I had no clue I was going to have to turn those darned things on and off, and my husband is hard of hearing and doesn't hear the warning bell that tells him he left them on.
I was driving the other night and it started pouring rain. The lighting was so dim on that Cherokee I had to pull over and stop. All the other cars were able to drive in that rain, but I couldn't. It was ridiculous. I absolutely love the way the car handles, the power steering is a dream, I love the interior, it rides very quiet, has plenty of room, the air conditioning and heating systems are wonderful... but those headlights are a killer. No fog lights, and no good lighting. I am ready to trade it off already and buy something different and I don't even have 900 miles on it yet.
I am very disappointed with Jeep that they would let a car like this on the road after all the complaints they have received.
My 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude purchased in the fall of 2014 has very dim headlights, on dim and bright. Very little difference and scary to drive at night. I have a 2005 Dodge Caravan and the headlights on it are great. This is not right. $32000 for a new vehicle I am afraid to drive at night? I have had recall after recall on auto. The manufacturer should correct this dangerous problem but have been told there is nothing can be done. Maybe new lights for $250 would help but only maybe. Any suggestions?
I am really upset about buying this Jeep. I am told that the low beam and high beam us the same headlight, just that when it is low beam, half the light bulb is covered, it is so dim. It is really hard to see, and it's terrible when the led running lights are probably brighter then the headlights. My dealer said there is nothing they can do to fix it. Spent $27000 on a vehicle that will probably get me injured from lack of light.
The Cherokee Trailhawk had Halogen Headlights. Since the headlights are mounted so low on the Cherokee they do not put out enough light and also do not light the road up far enough ahead. I feel like I am driving a car with headlights from the 1960s.
I have only had my vehicle a few weeks before they had to already order both complete light housing to replace them due to fogging up while driving....yes while driving and that was in Dec 2014 and thankfully I live in town and hadn't noticed, due to the street lights, that the lights are really dim, until I drove out of town last night. I get out of town and it's extremely dark, no street lights and realize the only way I can see ahead of me is having my brights on because the lights are so dim. Nothing like riding up on the steering wheel so you can see in front of you. Was thankful to make it home ok and decided to take it into the service center and have them looked at today. They stated they could adjust them up a little bit but there wasn't anything they could do for me other than that but also informed me that there had been multiple complaints regarding the lights being dim. If they know there is an issue why are they not addressing it and this could cause an accident and get someone seriously hurt or worse, and I surely don't want that person to be me. Should I have to go out and try to find a solution and spend money on better lights in order to see when I just bought a 2015 vehicle just a little over 3 months ago. My word, it's a 2015, I expected better and BETTER FROM JEEP
