On this Friday afternoon I drove to the office and upon arrival to the parking lot, as usual, I changed gear to 'Parking' and turned off the engine. I locked the car from the outside and walked to the office. I left my key in the office and began working in another area (no access to the key). At that time only one other person was in the building and in another floor (again, this person had no access to the key). After about 5 hours, the other person in the office left the building and right away she called me on the phone to let me know that the engine in my car was running. The hood was extremely hot, the radio was on and of course, there was almost no gas. When I took the car to the dealership, I was told that it was strange because the car was supposed to go into 'rest' mode, which did not happen in this situation. I have been asked to take the car for service, but honestly, after the many other problems and the evasive, if not deceiving, answers from the dealers, I do not trust dealers any more. At this point, I think that Chrysler must take responsibility for the lemons they are selling.
I no longer feel safe driving the new Jeep Cherokee Limited so I do hope that if someone knows about any lawsuit demanding that Chrysler takes back the cars and refunds customers, please let me know. In the mean time, I am back to my old Ford.
