Vehicle is equipped with the collison avoidance system. On the date of the accident the system failed to work. The vehicle was travelling westbound between 5-7 mph at a high school parking lot, the collison avoidance system was on, the front of the vehicle struck the rear of another vehicle. The system did not deploy. The vehicle suffered $3000 dollars of frontend damage. After vehicle was repaired, owner of vehicle conducted tests of the collison avoidance system at 5, 10, and 15 mph with large objects (boxes) placed at minimum of 100 feet from the vehicle. The system never deployed and the objects were struck. At the time of the test Jeep informed owner all systems, including were fixed and fully functional. On three separate occasions between the following dates June 26-July 05, 2015 the collison avoidance system activated with no objectives in front of the vehicle at distance greater than 200 feet. The vehicle was travelling on two occasions on city streets at approximately 20 mph and once on the highway at 55 mph.

With the cruse control on and set at 60mpg when going down a hill it picks up speed to over 70mph. Going up hill it varies as much as 4mph. The cruse control does not control the speed as it should, very dangerous!

Two incidents Jeep Cherokee was on automatic cruise control come to almost stop when front car took a right turn and this caused almost rear collision. I was like 30 feet away from the front car. Another incident: There was nobody around me and car applied brakes by itself and causes almost panic among the family members in the car and reduced the speed to 45mph.

Interior door handles on this Jeep are faulty and break with only normal use. I called Jeep and they said $400 a door panel plus labor and they can't just fix door handle they said whole panel has to be replaced. The two in front are completely broke and back two have cracks. I went online with this issue and found out there are thousands of others like me in this situation. Because of this cost in repairs I feel like Jeep has put me in a unsafe situation for my family. The Jeep is a sport limited and is flawless in condition, except for these door handles. A recall needs to be made before someone gets stuck in there Jeep during an accident and can't get out because of a broken door handle. Because of all the forums on this issue my family and I are driving are other vehicle as much as possible until I can figure out how to get this problem fixed. I am hoping I do not have to sell this rig because of broken door handles, but with a baby in back I am not feeling like Jeep is looking out for the true safety of there customers at this point in time.

2015 Cherokee latitude 4 cyl. Have had vehicle for 2 months, during this time the transmission has had a mind of its own. Accelerating during braking, which in and of itself is extremely dangerous as it has happened while slowing to make a turn, if you need to turn at 10 mph and the car accelerates past 25 you are looking at an accident waiting to happen. Lag in downshift while trying to accelerate, loud un explained clunk while placing into park, numerous engine warning light activations. Called local dealer and was informed that I needed to wait a few days to see if warning light resets itself before bringing in. The transmission never seems to actually shift into 9th gear, which inturn hampers the fwy mileage claims associated with this vehicle. Ive noticed the transmission temperature exceed 240 degrees on numerous times, this cannot be good. I will be taking vehicle to dealer, hopefully in an effort to get this resolved. With all of the reviews and problem, will it take an unfortunate fatality for Chrysler to actually resolve this, as in the case of the Toyota acceleration problems?

I recently leased a new 2015 Jeep Cherokee with safety package and fcw system. When I took vehicle home I realized that the forward collision warning system was not engaging ie: No audible and no visual alerts so I took it back to the dealer. The vehicle has been back to service several times for re-calibration but they cant get the system to work as designed or advertised. I am waiting for the service tech to get back to me with additional information as he was waiting for a response and overhead support rom Jeep. According to the service tech alot of these vehicles are experiencing similar issues. This is a potentially dangerous issue and real safety concern. If folks are relying on this system they may be at risk.
