My Jeeps battery died in the matter of 1 day. It showed now warning signs. It did not hesitate starting or anything. It just stopped. I lost 2 days of work which was 300 dollars and the fix was 380 dollars. I thought it was an electrical issue, so I brought it to the dealership. If the battery hesitated for a few days, I would have replaced the battery myself and not had such a big expense.

Cherokee Limited 3.2L

I had the car just under 2 years had to replace battery and they said it was not covered under extended warranty and it was typical for battery to not last 2 years (Jeep Dealership tested the battery )I did not purchase there. I ordered the battery and installed myself to save myself $100.00

Cherokee Latitude 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 35,238 miles

When we went to start the Jeep, it took 5 tries to start. When it finally started, three lights came on, the electronic stability control light, the engine light, and the throttle control light. When we got home and turned it off, it wouldn't start again. We jump started it and took it straight to the dealer.

The next day, the dealer called and said it was just a dead battery that would be covered under warranty. So I was happy it was just that. I hope there are no more issues . . .

I replaced the battery myself. Told the dealer about it when we were scheduling and appointment for the transmission shift issues, a check engine light and a burned out HID bulb. Service manager told me batteries don't last much longer than two years anymore. I know this to be a lie because on every other car I've owned I get at least four years. My BMW's battery was eight years old and it was fine when I sold the car.
