The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the electronic braking system locked up. Additionally, while driving, the transmission was slipping and not shifting into gear as designed. The check engine warning light and service transmission warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission was sealed and the brake module needed to be replaced, and the connector was wet. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
