Excessive condensation on internal surface of windscreen alerted me there must be a water leak. Checked the carpets and found a lot of water in rear passenger foot well. I shop-vac the water up and over a gallon of water was extracted from all the foot wells. I kept wet vacing the floors until they were dry thinking that i must have left my sunroof open or something. We had rain again and my carpets were all wet again. Took car into dealer who kept the car for a day and did extensive testing on the sun roof - no leak. They checked the plastic wheel liners and found that the adhesive (what ever that means) was faulty. Apparently they had a Grand Cherokee which had a similar problem. Dealer resealed the plastic wheel arch liners, took carpets out of the car, sanitized them and dried them out over two days reinstalled and got Chrysler to authorized new carpets that are on order because the ones in the car were mildewed and stained. I will be checking the carpets now on every ocassion of rain to ensure dry carpets. If they are wet car goes into the dealer again. If it occurs 4 times I will be pursuing the lemon law here in California.
