CarComplaints.com Notes: There's no way around it, the Cherokee's transmission is junk. There's no other explanation for why a vehicle, usually with under 40,000 miles, would have so many complaints

Brand new JEEP CHEROKEE born in Detroit mid-April 2014; purchased in CO mid-May 2015. IMMEDIATELY after being titled (therefore losing $2,500 value because of the paperwork being done) had DASH and NAV PANEL GO DARK. It has repeated 3X. "Chip update" was 1st solution for a week or more; "module"? replacement 2nd time it happened; 3rd time the dealership was just closing on a Friday...by Monday the lights were back on and can only "help a customer" by looking at the problem WHEN OCCURRING...so quit your day job and immediately drive to the dealership service dept. They are very nice; however, JEEP CHEROKEE is loaded with all the best and not sure Detroit knows how to wire all of it yet. PARTS are NOT AVAILABLE by the way. Some parts like rear view cameras won't be MADE until September 2014 for the Jeep Cherokee. Forget replacing a back hatch LATCH as I got the only one for sale in the USA from a dealer in another state who was not sure he wanted to sell it.
