This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The Jeep window regulator is a known issue and mine has broke twice in one week. I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee and it is in the shop to have the third window regulator installed. This is a constant issue with Jeep and should have a recall issued and fix the problem. Have been to several question and answer sites on the internet and Jeep will not acknowledge there is a problem.
Both front door windows do not operate up and down due to the cheap plastic peice that hold the window on the track, poor quality.nothing was done by danbury Dodge in conn.
About a year ago both of my front power windows quit working on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee sport within weeks of each other. I have talked about this with several other people who own Cherokee and they too have had the same problem. My concern is that if I were were in an accident that forced my car to be submerged in a body of water I would have to wait until the entire cabin filled with water before I could attempt any escape. My mother who owns a Nissan xterra also had the same problem but last month Nissan issued a recall and all 4 of her windows were replaced.
