While driving, I heard a noise from the tire. When I pulled over, the tread from the center of the tire had come loose. I drove off the highway and had it checked. There was sbout two inches of tread missing. I could put my hand in the hole and underneath the tread that remained. These tires had been bought less tha two weeks before the incident. They were bought at and installed by a good year dealer.
The left rear tire side completely shredded;no apparent puncture, only $33000 miles on tires/rate of speed was 70 mph, could have very easily resulted in a serious accident for a less experienced driver. Several people that looked at the tire commented that it was not your normal flat tire.( dot number: Tire size: Rt/S )
Consumer was traveling about 70mph, and left rear tire blew out. Later that day right front tire blew out. Tread came off completely six hours after purchasing the tires.
