When I hit the brake my driver seat belt pulled out of the latch. Seat belt will no longer buckle. Latch is broken. I am currently looking into purchasing a new seat belt but am having difficulty finding the part. The seat belt is: Date mfg: M494942 model #: 5cr95 pt no. 55314573
Seatbelt gets caught up on sharp corner of guide causing belt to tear in several places. Compressor of air conditioner makes loud squeel noise. Both reported to Jeep of Ontario. Air conditioner never fixed after 4 reports to dealer in Ontario. Seatbelt fixed at my expense with the dealer claiming belt's damage caused by slamming in door, I have the belt assembly showing no evidence of being slammed in door; but evidence of being torn by sharp point in guide.
I would like an independant review of the seatbelt failure. Chrysler insists that a Chrysler dealer review the incident, but I am not confidant of an impartial review. I have had the front seat belts replaced under recall twice and had asked for the rear seat belts to be looked at. Chrysler refused. What actions should I take at this point? I am concerned about my other seatbelt and other similar Jeep safety issues with my Jeep and others. Thank you.
