In an attempt to avoid crashing into the child, the contact swerved and crashed into a ditch. One of the tires ruptured and the air bags also deployed. The air bag struck the contact in the face, causing injury to the contact's eye. The contact was able to replace the tire with a spare and drive the vehicle home. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacture was not contacted. The failure mileage was not available and the current was 240,778.

1) the driver side door is not closing completely. Upon a visual inspection I noticed that the hinge weld has started to fail. I have not taken any corrective action with this problem. I noticed that there has been an investigation with this same problem. 2) my wife was involved in an accident and the airbag did not deploy. The vehicle that she was driving was hit in the rear by another Jeep Cherokee travelling at approximately 30 mph. The other vehicle Jeep Cherokee involved did not deploy it's airbag either.
