The contact owns a 1995 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while in park, the contact noticed strong fuel fumes emitting from the vehicle. In addition, the contact noticed that there was fuel leaking from the fuel tank. The contact independently diagnosed that the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was aware of NHTSA campaign number: 13V252000 (fuel system, gasoline, structure); however, the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was 101,000. MA 10/14 the consumer stated she junked the vehicle. Updated 04/05/16.
Driving over a speed bump at about 5 mph. Passenger side engine mount bolts sheer off the block. I was able to pull out one bolt, but the two outside bolts are still stuck in the block. I will try to extract these tomorrow. All that is required to repair the problem is 3 bolts.
