The contact owned a 2017 Jaguar Xf. The contact stated that while stopped at a railroad crossing, another vehicle rear ended him which knocked his vehicle into the moving train. The contact immediately exited the vehicle as the moving train clipped the front end of the vehicle. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact did not seek medical attention at the scene. A police report was filed and the other driver was arrested for dui. The contact sought medical treatment the next day and was treated for injuries to his back, neck, and left eye. The vehicle was severely damaged as a result of the accident and towed to an independent tow yard. His insurance company performed an investigation and deemed the vehicle a total loss, the vehicle was destroyed. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 22,451.
