At 46000 mi. The car seemed to lack power. Investigation disclosed a frozen left rear brake caliper, which was replaced along with pads on all wheels (expensive). 2000 miles later, the replacement caliper froze, nearly causing a fire.

The contact owns a 2004 Jaguar X type. He stated that he has to exert great force during brake application to stop the vehicle. Increased stopping distances can lead to a vehicle crash. The vehicle was then towed to a dealer for inspection. Upon inspection a technician replaced the brake check valve, due to corrosion. The failure mileage was 50982. The current mileage was 61000.

The contact owns a 2004 Jaguar X-type. While driving between 4-5 mph, the contact depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle continued to accelerate and struck another vehicle. The hood, grill, radiator, and air conditioning condenser were damaged. A police report was filed. The current mileage was 27,000 and failure mileage was 25,000.
