Aluminum wheels dent easily allowing air leakage from tires. These are the sport wheels on the jag X-type model. I ran over a deer carcass in road and the right front passenger side tire deflated and came off the rim as the car was traveling 70 mph. The car spun out of control and $170 of damage was incurred. After the accident it was noted at actually all the wheels had small dents and they all needed to be replaced. Regular tires and wheels were purchased. Tires were made by Continental. Aluminum wheels were standard on sports model.
While driving at any speed there was severe vibration in front and rear. The vehicle was taken to dealership, and technician determined that rims were bent. Previous to diagnosis, consumer replaced one of the rear rims which was bent. A total of five rims replaced and the tires were replaced because they weren't suitable for the rims.
While driving over 55 mph there was severe vibration in the steering wheel. Dealer told the consumer to put different rims and tires on the vehicle. Consumer replaced the tires and rims, but the problem recurred.
