We are experiencing what appears to be a known problem with our iPace [XXX] This issue seems to be with the parking brake actuator and it is unclear based on other reports if the actuator could malfunction and engage while the vehicle is moving. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I turned my vehicle on and it showed a Gearbox Fault Detected message. I was able to put the car in reverse and accelerate to 2 MPH while reversing. The car began to slow down even with my foot on the accelerator as if there was no power. I was fully reversed out of my parking spot and went to put the car in drive as I was in the middle of the very busy parking lot with cars waiting on either side to continue driving. The car would then turn on the parking break as I pressed the accelerator, no matter which gear I was in. I was stranded at an angle, causing traffic to be delayed with cars backed up all the way to both entrances of the parking lot and vehicles in the street at a complete stop to enter with a 40MPH speed limit. I had to get my vehicle towed to Jaguar Dealer Service and after diagnostic the harness for the Parking Pawl has failed and needs to be replaced. If I had been reversing out of my home into the street, or really anywhere else than the parking lot I was in, I would have caused an accident. We-??re lucky an accident wasn-??t caused from people being stopped in the street.

Since April of this year, the car has consistently had problems! A few months ago, it started turning off suddenly!! Yes, suddenly even while driving! This was very alarming. I took it to the dealer in Cincinnati where it stayed for almost a month to be fixed! Then towards the end of August, it started running out of charge / not charging after driving a few miles with a dashboard warning to "stop immediately". I again shipped it to the dealer in Cincinnati where it has been there since then (over 6 weeks now!) Talking to the dealer, they do not seem to be certain of what happened and keep changing things. I am not sure if I feel safe driving such a car or owning it beyond the warranty

2195 miles, and only driving it for 60 days. Thankfully I was driving slowly, when the car's brakes stopped working, the car started shuddering violently. When finally was able to stop car, the I-pace would not go into or out of gear, and the emergency parking brake would not release. Incredibly scary. I can only imagine if I had been driving on the highway when the brakes failed.

On three separate occasions, two with my wife, and once with me, the car suddenly accelerated as if the accelerator was depressed to the floor even though our feet were no on the accelerator. With my wife driving, she was pulling into parking spaces going 5mph or slower. I was coasting downhill at 40mpg when the car accelerated and the brakes did not respond. We reported each incident to the dealer who said they relayed the information to Jaguar technical support. In all cases Jaguar said they could not find anything wrong with the car and want us to continue to drive it. The last time they asked the dealership to drive the car for 100 miles. We are now afraid to drive the car for fear we will hit and injure some innocent party or harm our selves.
