The contact owns a 2015 Jaguar F-type. The contact stated that there was a sticky residue on the steering wheel and near the control panel on the driver's side, which affected the ability to use the function control buttons. The contact stated that Jaguar honolulu (888 kapiolani blvd, honolulu, hi 96813, (808) 592-5108) indicated that the vehicle was out of warranty and needed to be diagnosed. The dealer provided a 9-page extensive estimate and indicated that the title was salvaged. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and indicated that a warranty would not cover the repair. There was no recall associated with the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 9,500.
