The contact owned a 2014 Jaguar F-type. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the vehicle caught on fire underneath the hood. The fire department was notified and was able to extinguish the fire. A fire report was filed. There were no injuries sustained. The vehicle was towed to a tow facility. The contact stated that an investigation was opened however, the result was inconclusive. Neither the dealer nor manufacturer was contacted or notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 54,000. The vehicle was destroyed.
