I was on the interstate and as I pressed the accelerator to increase my speed-I was currently going 55-the accelerator got stuck. The vehicle continued to increase in speed-during rush hour, but I managed, after pressing the brake hard 4 times, to un-stick the accelerator. I ended up going 80 mph and avoided a crash but this alarmed me as this has never happened to me and it is as if the vehicle had a "mind of its own". especially after recent deaths in the cases with Toyota. I contacted Isuzu and I was told that they have not issued any recalls on this issue. I asked if this were to happen in my vehicle again or if a dealer were not able to fix it what would be the course of action, and I was told that I would be responsible for making that financial decision since my warranty is up. I am sure the first one to have this same type of mechanical error in a Toyota was told the same thing and look where it got them!
