Engine kept overheating and I had to take it to my dealership but, they couldn't fix the problem. I took it in several times because I still had a warranty on the problem but, every single time, the problem kept happening. Finally, one day, I was driving home and my engine overheated and started smoking. I had it towed to the dealership and they changed the thermostat (so they said). When my husband went to pick up the car, before he got home, about 5 miles away from dealership, engine overheated again. Since the dealership couldn't fix my car, we hired an independent mechanic who overhauled the engine and saved my car from overheating but, about six (6) months later, my engine light came on because my car was overheating. I kept water in my car so that I could fill the radiator with water twice a day. I wrote to Isuzu Headquarters in Japan, stating my problem and sent them proof of what was going on with my car and even gave them the name of the dealership and told them that I refused to take my car to the dealership because they could never fix my problem and asked Isuzu if they could pay for my diagnostics. I then received a letter from the California Headquarters for U.S.A. and they told me to take it to the dealership. What a Croc. Then, last year, 2013, my car overheated again. I had my insurance people tow my car to another mechanic at One Fast Lube in Pearl City. Finally, that mechanic found out what was wrong and fixed it permanently. Since then, I haven't had any overheating problems. One Fast Lube is my new mechanic shop because they're A-1-Number One. It didn't cost me a dime because mechanic said that I was missing a clamp, which was letting water escape but it was steam and that's why I didn't see evidence of water on the ground, after parking car. Those dealerships are rip offs and they do suck. Lots of people complain about their dealerships. All they're out to do is make money from us.
