I had an ABS service repair by a dealer done on 12-10-2002 on my 1999 Isuzu Rodeo vehicle and the part that was replaced was a modulator for the ABS sensor. Last Monday, 04-18-05, there was a recall that another dealer advised me to be serviced on the same nature of problem. Afterwards, I've called the Isuzu manufacturer's office and told them about my problem and I've pleaded if they can reimburse me on the first service repair that was done on my ABS. They turned me down. I wish to bring them to the court but I was adviced if I can ask your good office to please investigate if my claims can be validated by yours. Thanks.

On numerous occasions for the past 2 years, when the brake pedal is pressed, it goes all the way down to the floor and does not slow the vehicle down. Brake pedal must be pumped in order to slow the vehicle. There have been several near misses of rear-ending another vehicle. To date, the brake lines have been bled, master cylinder has been replaced, rotors and drums have been replaced, and manufacturer's ABS module recall has been completed. None of these services have helped. The car is currently at the car dealership for the same problem. The dealership has indicated that they do not know what is wrong with it, but is continuing to investigate. The vehicle has been parked more than it has been driven over the past year for fear of an accident waiting to happen.

With a simple push of the brakes, consumer spun out twice hitting a tree the second time. Soon after the accident, the consumer received a campaign notice in the mail. The consumer requested a refund for the car rental and deductible, however the manufacturer stated the ABS, coil integrated module replacement was a safety improvement campaign, which was an improvement to the ABS, the recall did not address or infer there was a defect, since the ABS in the vehicle at the time of the accident met all standards. The consumer received two letters. The first letter stated an accident could occur and the second letter stated the campaign notice was an upgrade.

The vehicle started revving up when I applied the brakes, with RPM's increasing after I had the vehicle serviced at a dealer for a recall on the ABS. When I took vehicle back for problem on March 5,2003, they said could find nothing to indicate source of problem and that it may be transmission. My local news station showed problem like this on other makes of vehicle that resulted in crashes/injuries. I do not want to be a statistic on some billboard, nor do I want that to happen to others. Wonder if problems on other vehicles happened after replacing ABS?

I am still experiencing the inability to stop my 1999 Isuzu Rodeo on occasion even though I have had the ABS control module replaced according to the 02I002000 recall. The dealership replaced the ABS cim on 10/29/2003. On 1/9/2004, I lost control of my brakes twice in winter weather. The brakes went almost to the floor with a grinding sound and to stop, I used my hand brake. I had a friend recreate the problem the same day. I don't believe the recall has solved the problem. This is a very dangerous situation, and I'm afraid to drive my car!
