Backed up into a pole at dunkin doughnuts- at less than 5mph, upon investigation found that the complete bumper assembly was rotted, there was no bumper rebar or very little of it left, this a safety hazard, it should also be expanded as part of the suspension recall on this vehicles should also include 02-04 Axioms. I have gone to numerious salvage yards & called for a rear bumper assembly only to find out plastic covers O.K. but the rest rotted out. In my incident I took out bumper cover, rear hatch & glass, you would expect less damage at this slow speed. Thank god this was not hit from behind from another car. I would recomend an investigation or expansion of the current recall to include rear bumper assembly.
