Airbag light came on when we were on a 8 hour road trip. I brought the vehicle to the dealership, and they told me that they found the code for the driver side left curtain airbag. They cleared the code, and proceeded to tell me that I needed to replace the driver side curtain air bag module assembly to start. Then if the light continues to flash and not go off after they have replaced the air bag module assembly they will have to replace the wire harness as well. They quoted me a price of $2115 to replace the airbag module assembly. It seems like a manufacture defect to me.

Some 2015-2019 Infinitis and Nissans have had their driver side curtain airbag spontaneously deploy while they were driving. One person who resides in Utah is actually suing Nissan North America. Nissan is denying that there is a defective on-board algorithm that can cause the side curtain airbag to spontaneously deploy. My airbag has not deployed, but I due feel that there is a defect that is also causing my airbag sensor to constantly flash due to the driver side curtain airbag. My vehicle was purchased new and has always been serviced at the local dealership. I've never even had a fender bender in this vehicle. It's in excellent condition.
