I wanted to buy a new or newer Infiniti. I've invested thousands that people complain about that I consider upkeep. but, a melted dashboard is just gross. They don't make a cap for it. I have covers but, they won't stay on and I can't read instruments. They have a class action for 2006-2008 but let off 2005. It's a problem in the south with the heat. Bad material and they know it. Shame I won't buy another and I love the car 2 quotes to replace at $1700.
