My Hyundai xg 350 2002 had a little over 100,000 miles on it. On 2/12/2018, while driving on a route 17 South in Mahwah, NJ, I hear a high pitch cracking sound with a smoke coming out of the car and soon the car became disabled on the side of highway route 17 S leaking a engine oils all over the place. At the body shop, they found out that the the bottom part of the engine got cracked with a adult-fist size hole leaking engine oils all over the place. The owner of the body shop mentioned that it is his first time to see the engine got cracked with such a big hole. It appears that the engine has a major defect and could have caused a major problem unless the driver quickly moved the car to the road side before it became completely disabled. I feel so lucky that it didn't happen while my wife or my daughters were driving, and it happened to me, while I was driving. Only slightly over 100,000 miles and the engines got cracked, unbelievable.
